I GET BY WITH A LOAF OF MY BREAD
One of the best bits John Belushi ever did in the wonder years of Saturday Night Live was his dead-on impersonation of Joe Cocker. Belushi would go full-spazmodic, shaking and tremoring his way to the stage floor, flopping around like a fish out of water. The bit hit its zenith when Cocker himself joined Belushi in one of SNL's all-time great cameos.

They looked like twins writhing around in synchronicty.

Cocker's style made his lyrics virtually unintelligible. If I may sound like a pseudo-intellectual music critic for Rolling Stone Magazine for a moment (NO!)- it was Joe's vocal texture and passionate styling that made him a rock icon in the mid to late early 70s.

With today's technology, we can now present this You Tube version of a Joe Cocker classic- paste this link in your browser and enjoy!
